In this webinar, Master Artisan Margo Marquette will show you how to bring your stained glass panels to life with copper foil detail. Margo will demonstrate her unique technique from start to finish as she shares overlay dos and don’ts, soldering best practices, tips for cleaning your project, and even framing ideas. The class will begin with a smaller Acorn Ornament project then continue to the larger The Trophy panel.
Margo Marquette is a central Kentucky based glass artist who works primarily with openwork overlay panels. She has written several articles on overlay and other special interest glass topics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial arts from Berea College and a master’s degree in technology education from Ball State University. Margo has worked with glass for over 12 years and has taught both online and in-person openwork overlay classes. She loves writing short stories and creating story illustrations that inspire her glass panels. Many of her panels are symbolic of real-life experiences or fabled stories and folk songs. Margo presently teaches public school as a computer science instructor.
