Joe Porcelli has been a professional artist and craftsperson since 1979. He is the former publisher of Glass Craftsman Magazine, a post he held from 1993 through 2011. He is also the producer and publisher of the GCTV line of glass instructional videos, the most comprehensive catalog of instructional videos in the glass industry.
His two books The Lamp Making Handbook, Published by The Glass Press, and Stained Glass, Jewels of Light, published by Barnes & Noble have been in publication since 1992 and 1999 respectively.
Joe is a veteran writer and popular instructor and is featured in a number of best selling instructional glass DVDs. He is currently a full time writer and artist, whose original lamps and bronze bases are sought after by collectors and dealers and have fetched record prices for contemporary leaded glass at various glass and decorative arts auctions.
